Super Bowl Homer – Seahawks fan

Back in August I posted about how the NFL was back. You can check out my IPhone 4s picture of Peyton Manning by clicking the link. At the time that I went to the preseason game between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks, I really did think that I was looking at a Super Bowl preview. I know the results of this game are irrelevant but it was fun to watch. I found it interesting that Peyton Manning actually played half the game as well as the starters for the Seattle Seahawks. Clearly both teams were doing a test run for what they thought may be the ultimate final matchup.

As an avid Seattle Seahawks fan I attended every home game this season, including preseason. Because the Seahawks had the number one seed in the playoffs, they had 2 additional home games. That makes for 12 home games this season. The Seahawks boast about their fans and their home field advantage. They translated this advantage into an 11 – 1 record at home and a trip to Super Bowl XLVIII. What a ride! And I was able to witness it all from my seats located at the 50 yard line, 2nd row, directly behind the opposing teams’ bench.

Here I am celebrating the victory. This is the only selfie that I took. I wish I had a better one but it will do. I’m sporting my Kam Chancellor jersey (#31), the enforcer of the Legion of Boom. He also goes by the name Bam Bam.

Since I am completely biased and a homer for this game, I’m not going to make any predictions on the result. I am hoping for a great game. Maybe even a classic. What more can you ask for? A first ballot hall of fame quarterback leading the historically highest scoring offense against the number one defense and the Legion of Boom. I’m just going to sit back in the comforts of my home and enjoy this one with my well aged DIY Beer Lager. Go Hawks!
